200 yds any yarn that knits to the specified gauge. Sample done in Nashua Julia (50% wool, 25% alpaca, 25% kid mohair), 93 yds/50g skein, color Rock Henna 2330
US size #6 (4 mm) 16" circs and #7 (4½ mm) 16" circs and dpns, or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) over Stockinette stitch on US size #7 (4½ mm) ndls

Note: Depending upon your knitting style, you may be able to knit a hat using only two skeins of the specified yarn. I recommend purchasing a third skein of yarn “just in case.”
